About Seam Studios

Seam Studios is a Chicago-based sole proprietorship that specializes in client-focused print and web design. Representative clients of Seam Studios include the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization, Chicago Magazine, EthnicWorkforce, Northwestern University and Stage Left Theatre. Projects include web site design, advertising, print collateral, identity and multimedia design.

Prior to founding Seam Studios, principal designer Amy Jahnke worked as a senior designer with Andersen’s Experience Design group. There she worked with clients such as Andersen, Sara Lee, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, MetalSpectrum.com and Kredyt Bank. Amy has also worked in publication design, computer technical support and as a photographer.

Ms. Jahnke has experience with a broad variety of industries, including retail, healthcare, communications, entertainment, finance, legal and manufacturing.

A graduate of Bradley University’s Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts, Amy studied graphic design, printmaking, multimedia and journalism. Amy has continued her design education through courses at the Lorenzo de’Medici Art Institute of Florence (Florence, Italy), Illinois Institute of Art, Columbia College and Allen Interactions.
